Have a look at the German and Spanish central wikis to get an idea of what to do here. You can also add help pages here, or you could start a new wiki for Dutch help. - The translations for creating a wiki are finished. I checked them, and I couldn't detect any mistakes. Oh and, when I try to create an wiki, it still only uses English, even though I used uselang=nl. I don't know or the proces must be activated first? I used this link [1]. The starter wikia has just been completed. All project pages and templates are transferred and translated with the help of MtaÄ. It can now be set on active.

- There's a complete list here which links directly to the wikis. You can find links to pages about the wikis at Wikia:Category:Dutch but a lot of that is hand-edited so isn't as accurate as the automatic list. I've also put a list of the top 100 in the Zandbak. - We actually at least 2 people who want to do this so that the translations can be checked by a native speaker. This is important because the edits on that wiki go live to all Dutch wikis straight away. Problem with Sjabloon:Laat deze lijn a.u.b. alleen (zandbak header) Bewerken
On the English Central Wiki, there is a template for the Wikia:Wikia:Sandbox (long name). I've added it here: Sjabloon:Laat deze lijn a.u.b. alleen (zandbak header), only it doesn't seem to work. I think this is because this Wiki is missing some extensions or something like that. So, could these extensions be installed, or is it a different problem.

First, I'm sorry for all the questions. Second, Is it possible for the CreateWiki script to also create a page on this Wiki when a Dutch Wiki is created? Our WikiTemplate is fully compatible with the English one, and it wouldn't hurt anyone ;)!

- The CreateWiki script isn't going to be used for much longer. We're hoping to make the list of wikis into a special page instead of having thousands of individual pages that don't stay up to date properly. There is already a list of Dutch wikis (newest are at the top), so it would be like this with some more information, and the ability to search it. Angela (talk) 16 aug 2009 17:29 (UTC)

More users at the Dutch Central & Help Bewerken
Hi,
Do you have any suggestions for attracting other users to the Dutch Central & Dutch Help? I've been working for hours to translate Dutch help pages (so far, every single help page is translated by me), and I can't make it on my own. I've already requested MtaÄ for the Dutch spotlights, but we need some more support. I've also asked Croon to help, and he said he would start soon.
Well, I've been thinking, and maybe one of the solutions is the Help:Overleg Pagina Berichten (w:c:help:Talk Page Messaging). I don't know if it's possible, but we can send a message to all Dutch users where the Wiki is somehow promoted.
I'll look around for more idea's.

The reason is that once it's enabled, Dutch users will not receive the English messages about new features, so we need to wait until there are more Dutch speaking users involved who can send out such messages in Dutch to make sure that people aren't missing out on information. It doesn't seem to work, I just finished al priority one pages (w:c:help:Help:Translating Wikia Help) and I've created some other pages, resulting in having a stunning 53 :)! The problem is that I had to create them all, and we réálly need a community... Yet nobody helps, and Croon only created one page... So... We must try something else. Great to hear that, I certainly hope that'll work out! I've been looking around a bit, and found some Dutch Wiki's, most of them aren't huge, but there aren't many really bíg Dutch Wiki's, and every bit helps;
WikiKids <-- This one is hosted on Kennisnet.nl, so I'm not certain if it can be imported to Wikia, it's a Wiki that is run by "children".
